prof. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak co-organized the E2BRN conference

At the beginning of September, the conference of the European Epidermal Barrier Research Network (E2BRN) took place in Antwerp. The event was organized by dr. hab. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak, professor at the University of Gdańsk, head of the Laboratory of Experimental and Translational Immunology IFB and dr. Ryan O'Shaughnessy (Queen Mary University of London), who together serve as co-chairs of the E2BRN network. Prof. Esther Hoste (Ghent University) acted as the local organizer. This was the 22nd meeting of this network, which gathers annually.

The conference was part of the Congress of the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR), held on 10-13 September 2025. In addition, dr. hab. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak chaired a poster walk session on Epidermal barrier structure and function during the ESDR meeting.
